Bust-length profile depiction of a boy wearing a straw hat, signed in the lower right corner "E.S. P" and on the reverse "Pitman". Housed in a modern frame. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 19" x 15 1/4" sight, 22 1/4" x 18 1/4" OA. Very good overall visual condition, minor areas of discoloration on the backside of the canvas. Provenance: From the private collection of Susan B. Smith, Williamsburg, VA.
